I collaborate, partner and share practical systems insights for complex environments.
Brain Snacks
Making complexity digestible
I provide open-source reflections, system patterns, and practical insights developed through experience and applied practice.
My intent is to make complexity more understandable and support reflection, discussion, and practical application across different contexts.
Collaborative Practice
Working through complexity together
I work alongside leaders, teams, and others to make sense of complexity, clarify direction, and move important work forward.
I use this brain snack loop to turn observations about complex organisational systems into simple, usable ideas.
I work by observing patterns in systems and making sense of what I am seeing.
I look for what is shaping behaviour, performance, and outcomes, even when it is not immediately visible.
From there, I interrogate those observations and begin to form patterns that explain what is happening.
I then create pattern sketches to make those patterns visible and easier to work with.
I use them as a way of making complex dynamics understandable and testable.
What I share comes directly from this process.
Sometimes it is a written reflection that helps digs into what is happening.
Sometimes it is a visual pattern that makes the structure of the system I am describing clearer.
I call these Brain Snacks.
Simple, digestible pieces of thinking that help people see what might be going on in their own systems.
How the loop works over time
This is not a linear process.
As ideas are shared, they generate feedback, conversation, and new observations.
I use that feedback and further experiences to refine both the thinking and the patterns over time.
This builds my body of work.
Grounded in real-world systems and continuously evolving.
In complex organisational environments, it is difficult to see what is really shaping behaviour and outcomes.
We often default to familiar structures or solutions, even when they do not address what is actually happening.
This approach is about making those underlying patterns visible, so they can be understood, discussed, and worked with more deliberately.
